You need a consultation to fully assess your current and future hair loss pattern and determine a recommended course of action, if any. Consultations with one of our doctors are highly sought after, and normally incur a fee which is currently £95 in Manchester and £125 in London’s Harley Street. Alternatively, we can arrange a free of charge consultation with one of our highly trained and experienced patient coordinators.

During your consultation, and if you are suitable, you will be given an estimate of the number of grafts and procedures you need, and the cost involved. You can have as little as 500 grafts to as many as 5000 grafts in the one operation depending on the size of the recipient area and the level of required density. Our price structure for strip (FUT) procedure is as follows:
£5 per graft for the 1st 1000 grafts
£2.50 per graft for the next 1000, and
£2 per graft thereafter

£7 per graft across the board for FUE procedure.

Please make sure your hair cut is no less than a number 2 and is ideally at least 1 cm long. It may be possible for you to speak or even meet someone local to you who has had treatment with us. We strongly discourage you from making any decisions on your consultation date.

All consulting male or female patients are required to complete a signed medical history form, while anyone over the age of 40 will be requested to allow us to record their pulse and blood pressure. Patients under the age of 18 are not accepted for treatment in our clinics due to regulatory issues. There is no upper age limit to surgery as long as you are in good physical and mental health.  Patients will not be accepted who have certain medical conditions or are on certain types of medication at the time of surgery. With your consent we may need to contact your GP for a medical report in such cases.

For women especially, if you had previous investigations by any professional with regards to your hair please bring or send in advance copies of all documentation. We require blood test results prior to consultations with women. See our Female hair loss section for more details.

If you wish to have your consultation with an advisor/doctor of the same sex, please let us know in advance of your appointment and all efforts will be made to accommodate your wishes. You may bring your partner, a relative or a friend to attend the consultation with you, but we ask that you do not bring children as they cannot remain unsupervised in the waiting area.
