Both Drs Farjo were made Fellows of the Institute of Trichologists (est 1902) for their past and on-going contributions to the field of trichology, hair loss and hair restoration medicine, surgery and research. In the case of Dr Bessam Farjo, also for his continuing service to the IoT as Board Governor. 

The fellowship is an honorary recognition by the Institute and the certificates were presented to Dr Nilofer Farjo on hers and Dr Bessam's behalf at the Institute's AGM in November 2006 by the President, Dr Rodney Dawber, world-reknowned dermatologist, educator and author.
