The 6th World Congress for Hair Research took place in June by the Great Barrier Reef in Cairns in North East Australia. This event takes place once every 3 years when the European, North American, Korean, Japanese and Australasian Hair Research Societies get together for one grand meeting.
There were several presentations and posters showcasing research involving the Farjo Medical Centre liaising with British hair science luminaries from Universities of Manchester, London and Bradford.
Dr Nilofer Farjo was actually invited to co-chair and moderate the opening session of the congress by the program chair, Dr Rodney Sinclair, Professor of Dermatology at University of Melbourne.

Apart from continuing education, the meeting was another fantastic networking opportunity for the doctors to exchange information with scientists and researchers, as well as clinicians who may not normally be involved with hair surgery.

The next world congress in 2013 will be held in Edinburgh, Scotland under the chairmanship of Dr Andrew Messenger. Drs Farjo will be on the organising scientific committee.
